Amy & Trever

Strawberry, CA is an area that most people don't pay much attention to as they make their way up Highway 50 towards Tahoe. Hidden in this little town lies a wealth of hiking trails and gorgeous scenery that provide the perfect backdrop for a summer wedding! This wedding season we had the opportunity to photograph Amy & Trever's wedding at Strawberry Lodge.  ...

Our Gear!

The wedding season is upon us! Ceili and I are currently knee deep into Wedding season 2017, and wanted to take a short break from all the editing that we have been doing and put together a list of the gear that we are using this year. This year has been a big one for us in terms of gear acquisition. We feel like we have finally put together a kit that fits all of our needs and we will hopefully not have to buy anything else (at least for a little while!) We hope that this post helps any photographer who is interested in seeing the lenses and gear we use with a few example photos. If you are a client of ours and are interested in what we use, take a look below! ...

We were instantly excited to capture their big day and knew that having a small ceremony with their closest friends and family would make for some great photos. We weren't disappointed. ...

Tessa & Keith's Engagement

This engagement session was awesome! Thats probably the easiest way to describe this couple, the location, the weather, their pup... everything! It was a terrific day up in Auburn exploring some of the trails that led down to river. We started near the backside of American River Canyon Overlook Park and explored a trail that lead downhill towards the river. Right away it was an awesome location and I knew it would be one I'd head back to. ...

Devon & Bree - Folsom, CA

When Devon and Bree asked us to shoot their wedding, they warned me that it was supposed to be small and would probably not have a lot of decorations. They were planning on traveling down from Oregon to California for a small ceremony and reception with a few family members before heading back up to Oregon. When we walked in, we were incredibly impressed with how so many people had come together to make two people's dreams come true. ...

Sayer Gender Reveal

When these two contacted me about photographing their gender reveal and mentioned smoke bombs, I instantly agreed. This session was awesome, we headed out to Gibson Ranch with a bag of smoke bombs and spent the evening running around in the smoke. The only issue we ran into... they weren't the longest lasting smoke bombs; we only got about a minute of smoke before they faded away and left us standing around watching clouds of pink and blue smoke cover the fields. Either that, or they exploded! ...
