Taylor & Alex's Sacramento Wedding

I’m going to make a bold prediction and say that brunch at weddings is going to be the hot thing for all those upcoming 2020 weddings! If its not, then I’m going to be severely disappointed, because there was something magical about having French Toast with a cup of coffee at a wedding. In all seriousness, this wedding was FUN, these two are so sweet and made each other (and myself) laugh all day! …

Shelby & Tyler's Loomis Wedding

So, I think just how fun this wedding was can be summed up in one story from the garter toss. Shelby wanted to do something a little different and also mess with Tyler a little bit. So instead of the traditional garter toss, she decided to wrap her garter around a golden football and quickly hide it in her dress just before she sat down for the garter toss. Unbeknownst to Tyler of course. The look on Tyler’s face when he reached under her dress and pulled out a football was priceless!! …

Amanda & Michael Silver Lake/Bogle Winery

There are so many things I could say about this wedding, but in this case, the pictures really are worth 1,000 words. A couple of weeks ago, Amanda & Michael chose to celebrate their love of the great outdoors by tying the knot at Silver Lake. They had an intimate ceremony attended by close family on the banks of the lake as the sun set on Thunder Mountain in the background. It was INCREDIBLE! After the ceremony, we explored the banks and took a TON of photos! …

Kaitlyn & Nate's Winters Wedding

f you’ve ever wondered if you should include your puppies in your wedding, the answer should always be YES!! This wedding was proof that including your pups is the cutest thing ever (see below for exhibit 1). These two included their fur babies as “Best Dog” and “Dog of Honor,” and it was definitely a highlight! All cuteness aside, we have to give a huge shoutout to this Bride and Groom for not only choosing decor to match their vision, but putting together a great team of people whom were terrific to work with! …

Gina and Joe

Congratulations to the Bride and Groom! These two were married a few weeks ago at a charming Victorian-esque venue right in the heart of El Dorado County, CA. I loved this venue, because i’ve driven past it sooo many times, but I had absolutely no idea it was there. Brookshire Gardens is nestled off the main road in its own private little corner. It features rustic barns, gardens, a fountain and enough space to spread out and enjoy your day.  One of my favorite features of this venue was the Ceremony site, it was surrounded by enough trees to keep the light even, and didn’t feel too cramped. …

Patsy and Chris

What do you do when it starts raining during your wedding? You party harder!! At least thats what this awesome couple did when a little bit of rain came in. They definitely didn’t let it ruin their day, and I’ve got to give a shout out to all the awesome vendors that made sure that a contingency plan was in place in case it started pouring. This wedding was beautiful! …

Kristy and Michael

You may remember Kristy and Michael from their engagement session in Yosemite (its one of my favorites!). If you haven’t seen it, make sure to go and check out that blog post after you are done here. Kristy and Michael definitely know how to pick a good spot for photos, their wedding venue (Eden Vale Inn) was directly in front of these beautiful golden hills that lit up once the sun began to set. If that wasn’t enough there was also a beautiful little pond complete with a row boat. …

Marny and Elena

This wedding had so many unique elements that made it so much fun to photograph! From interesting barns with all sorts of cool textures, to restored classic trucks, Marny and Elena’s big day was filled with tons of little details. They also made sure to add plenty of interesting little touches to their ceremony to make sure it was incredibly personal. One of our favorite details they had was a restored classic truck that they parked right next the reception area. …

Carolyn & Kyle

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of documenting Carolyn and Kyle’s big day at Park Winters. These two were great and we had a ton of fun hanging out with them and their awesome group of friends. Hands down, my favorite part of the wedding was the ceremony. The lighting was terrific and all the trees behind them caught the golden light, making for a SUPER pretty backdrop. …

Britney & Donald

Last year we had the pleasure of meeting Britney & Donald and photographing their awesomely styled wedding at the Blue Goose in Loomis, California. The Blue Goose is a GREAT venue with a ton of character. As you can see from the pictures, it has a lot of vintage charm to it, and has a TON of space to spread out and have a good time on the dance floor. We were honored to be there and get to have a good time photographing all the fun. ...

Amy & Trever

Strawberry, CA is an area that most people don't pay much attention to as they make their way up Highway 50 towards Tahoe. Hidden in this little town lies a wealth of hiking trails and gorgeous scenery that provide the perfect backdrop for a summer wedding! This wedding season we had the opportunity to photograph Amy & Trever's wedding at Strawberry Lodge.  ...

Our Gear!

The wedding season is upon us! Ceili and I are currently knee deep into Wedding season 2017, and wanted to take a short break from all the editing that we have been doing and put together a list of the gear that we are using this year. This year has been a big one for us in terms of gear acquisition. We feel like we have finally put together a kit that fits all of our needs and we will hopefully not have to buy anything else (at least for a little while!) We hope that this post helps any photographer who is interested in seeing the lenses and gear we use with a few example photos. If you are a client of ours and are interested in what we use, take a look below! ...
