A couple of weekends ago, Ceili and I ventured up through California to visit some family in the beautiful Eugene, Oregon! This was one of the first times I had been up there, and we loved it so much, we are already talking about going back. Since we took soooo many pictures, we didn't want to include them all on the blog, but here are some of our favorites! Enjoy!
This shot is actually one of my favorites from the trip. This was taken on our way up to Oregon at a lake near Shasta. I love the mix of red and blue in the water due to the color of the dirt in this area.
I had to include this picture, because I think it perfectly describes our stay in Medford, Oregon. We had booked this hotel in advance, but didn't realize that they had booked us for a smoking room. When we opened the door to our room a wall of smoke hit us so strong that we almost instantly turned around and asked if they had any non smoking rooms available. Unfortunately, they did not and we were left with the next best option. FEBREZE! it worked...sort of...
Im pretty sure we used almost an entire can in just that one night. On the bright side, we will always be able to remember our stay in the trucker section of the Medford hotel.
The picture of the Drive in sign came a little by accident. Ceili and I were just leaving after enjoying some delicious tater tots from K&R Drive In when I decided to take a picture of their sign. I was using our new Fuji X-Pro 1 and I was trying to hurry because it started to rain. I snapped this picture and I didn't realize that the camera misread the orientation until later. I was going to fix it, but I love it sideways so much more! Plus, you got to love the super plain burger logo. If you are ever in Oregon make sure you give this place a try!
These two images are from a sunset hike up Spencer's Butte. The landscape was amazing and definitely a lot different than what I have seen in California. Everything was so green and moss grew everywhere. It was a difficult hike up the less established side of the hill, but the incredible views overlooking Eugene, the wild flowers, and countless trees that seemed to scrape the clouds made it such a worthwhile and enjoyable hike. Once we got to the top we took a breather and then got ready to watch the sunset over the mountains in the distance. As the sun continued lower, it cast this beautiful orange light on the lake below us. It was such an awesome sunset and I'm glad I was able to get a picture I'm happy with!

Oregon was such an awesome place filled with great coffee, friendly people and excellent scenery. We just wanted to thank our family in Eugene for providing us with a terrific weekend. We will definitely be back soon!
