Cristina & Justen's Loomis Wedding

I love photographing winery weddings! The symmetry of the grapevines is so much fun to work into compositions, and there is never a shortage of beautiful decor that perfectly compliments the winery. These two were married at Rock Hill Winery in Loomis, California on a beautiful April day. The reception area of Rock Hill Winery has an upstairs area where the bride and groom make their grand entrance into the ceremony and it also provides a great vantage point for the bouquet toss. It was definitely something unique to this venue and made for a dramatic entrance into the reception. …

Jennifer & Daniel's Rocklin California Wedding

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of hanging out with Jennifer and Daniel as they celebrated their big day with their closest friends and family. These two are awesome and they couldn’t stop smiling the entire day! One of my favorite parts of their wedding was their venue. They chose to get married at Old Saint Mary’s Chapel in Rocklin. This place has history! It was built in 1883 and has gone through extensive restoration. They even relocated it on the back of a truck! …

Kayli & Matt Engagement

We get the opportunity to shoot in Auburn California a few times a year, and one of my favorite reasons to keep going back is that it always has something new to offer. Sometimes we start at No Hands Bridge, sometimes we head down real close to the river, and other times we explore the trails near the skatepark (I used to go to this skatepark when I was 13 btw).  For Kayli and Matt’s session, we tried something new …

Gina and Joe

Congratulations to the Bride and Groom! These two were married a few weeks ago at a charming Victorian-esque venue right in the heart of El Dorado County, CA. I loved this venue, because i’ve driven past it sooo many times, but I had absolutely no idea it was there. Brookshire Gardens is nestled off the main road in its own private little corner. It features rustic barns, gardens, a fountain and enough space to spread out and enjoy your day.  One of my favorite features of this venue was the Ceremony site, it was surrounded by enough trees to keep the light even, and didn’t feel too cramped. …

What do you do when it starts raining during your wedding? You party harder!! At least thats what this awesome couple did when a little bit of rain came in. They definitely didn’t let it ruin their day, and I’ve got to give a shout out to all the awesome vendors that made sure that a contingency plan was in place in case it started pouring. This wedding was beautiful! …

Kristy and Michael

You may remember Kristy and Michael from their engagement session in Yosemite (its one of my favorites!). If you haven’t seen it, make sure to go and check out that blog post after you are done here. Kristy and Michael definitely know how to pick a good spot for photos, their wedding venue (Eden Vale Inn) was directly in front of these beautiful golden hills that lit up once the sun began to set. If that wasn’t enough there was also a beautiful little pond complete with a row boat. …

From interesting barns with all sorts of cool textures, to restored classic trucks, Marny and Elena’s big day was filled with tons of little details. They also made sure to add plenty of interesting little touches to their ceremony to make sure it was incredibly personal. One of our favorite details they had was a restored classic truck that they parked right next the reception area. …

Carolyn & Kyle

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of documenting Carolyn and Kyle’s big day at Park Winters. These two were great and we had a ton of fun hanging out with them and their awesome group of friends. Hands down, my favorite part of the wedding was the ceremony. The lighting was terrific and all the trees behind them caught the golden light, making for a SUPER pretty backdrop. …

Nikky & Bobby

Nikky and Bobby literally built their own reception venue. Although that may sound like somewhat of an exaggeration, its true! The couple recently finished building their new home, and when it was time to choose a location for their wedding reception, the best option was right outside their door. Not only did they feature three different food trucks (tacos, churros, and snow cones) at their wedding …
